My heart feels like a ton of lead So many emotions running through my head Not sure if I should come or go Continuously the tears steadliy flow You say this is the way it has to be No other options can be seen May be permanent or only a while Traveling apart for the last mile You say you're sad it has to be this way Have to be ready come what may You say you don't want to fight Hold me and tell me it'll be alright You kiss my forehead and give me a hug Oh how deep is the hole we have dug Your kindness is tearing me apart Pain shoots through what's left of my heart Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. yes my friend, sometimes the last mile is the most dificult to travel. the last hold, the last kiss, the last love. very heartfelt. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
