Has he been away for so long
Has he not seen their tears
Missed the rainy days of sorrow
Been gone from the insanity, the fear
Back again, he's discovered
His world has been destroyed
Nothing left of his palace in the clouds
This man, dishearted, falls quietly now
To the jagged ground

Hi everyone!  I've been gone from Dark Passions for what seems like forever.  Hope you like this poem.

Joy

Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old time is still a-flying,
And this same flower that smiles today
To-morrow will be dying.

Glad you are back Joy!!  Loved this, seems this poor fellow's whole world and life were destroyed, I'd like to know what he does,??? You could turn it into an epic, his battle and fight to return his world to the majesty of before??????

At last I have heard the song of enlightenment.... In your heart you can hear it now, if you listen....
It is the song your spirit has been singing since the moment of your birth. All lasting victories are won in the heart....

Yes Joy I have taken this fall myself at one time.
A great big welcome home from me.
and yes a great entrance again. hahaha

Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

Thanks for replying.
Isis, that sounds like a good idea.  Can't promise I'll get it posted here any time soon, as of a case of on and off writers block.  Sounds strange and it is.  I hate it.  Sometimes I'll get a good idea, and other times It's like my mind goes blank.
But I'll try it anyway.

Jonas, I like that image too, that's why it would be cool to do more with it.

Joel, thanks for the welcome back.  I missed this place.

Have a good day,
Joy

~Joy,..so so good to have you back. Although I don't mean that in a way that I hope you have dark things to write about....because if I could take these dark thoughts from any of us I would,,....in a heartbeat.  I just mean that I enjoy your work,...your replies,...and your presense.    And boy what a picture you have painted in this short little piece...great work.
