'm standing here with an empty glass and lighted cigarette, It's time to close but I'm not ready yet, I haven't forgotten him. I down another shot, I'm on the road to forget, But I haven't yet with an empty glass and lighted cigarette, I hit the floor and laugh it off but the pain is still there even with an empty glass and lighter cigarette, I'm in my car too drunk to drive, I make it home somehow, I stumble up the steps and I cry. I scream "WHY GOD WHY CAN'T I FORGET HIM" The pain and the hurt is still there, After an empty glass and burnt out cigarette. |

The way this was written leaves a lingering emptiness, like the memory of someone that just won't go away. You have captured the feeling of a lover lost... ~~nice writing~~ |
