Hello everyone!! Yes I am still on my journey and things are slowly gettting better. One step at a time tho. I wrote this and thought I would post it. I hope to be back soon with full speed!

The days were cloudy
The nights very grim
Tears flowed like rain
The lights very dim
Darkness was me
In each and every way
Love was untouchable
Yet I searched every day
The pain inside me
Was taking its toll
My heart was blackened
As if it was made of coal
Hating this life
I searched for more
My wall was stopping me
For I wanted to soar
Each day I struggled
As each brick went down
Crying many tears
Without making a sound
You see, the pain of this wall
Was slowly killing me
The happiness in my life
And the chance to be free
So each day I work
On knocking my wall down
And one day you will hear
A whispering sound
The sound of my call
Reaching out to you
To express my happiness
And love so true
This day will be joyful
For I shall be free
Free from the darkness
Because I have found the key
The key to my heart
And the brightness of the light
Letting the darkness go
Making my smiles so bright
Today is the day
That I open up the door
The door of the wind
To let myself soar
So stand back and watch
And dont get in my way
Listen to me closely
And hear what i say
No more questions of
When, where, how and why
Today is my beginning
Each day I shall try
To open my heart
To let you come in
Giving you my trust
Without all the sins
The joy is what I want
And will fight till the end
For my strength is growing
And a smile I will send
So believe in me
And trust me when I say
The darkness is gone
And my future is today!!

Well I have a different thinking, the darkness never leaves us, but we can make it a stepping stone to the light.
Learn from the darkness, use it's mystique to gather the light.
This is a good way of expressing feelings kid. hahah

Yes I agree somewhat. Some people can use the darkness to help them. Then there are others that cant. As for me the darkness has destroyed me in many ways. Maybe I wont be able to rid myself of it all. But it will be put way in the back of the closet. We each are different and live our lives differently. So therefore how we deal with the darkness is different. You write mostly fictional dark poems. Mine come straight from my heart and soul. So I must rid myself (or try to) of some of that darkness so I can smile again.

Battle on Dark Kisses!!! We are all on a similar journey, and i too believe the darkness is present in all lives. The secret is to bury it, put it in the closet, and to occasionally bring it out and vent a little, but don't let it become a constant in your life. The way to true happiness is found within, with love and hope. It is in you, in all of us, nuture it and again it will be the light and centre of your life.
*hugs* and in the meantime if you flounder there are people here in dark to lend a hand.
