The deceptive and embracing glow of Indian summer,
so unexpected, warm and cunning to us April fools.
Insects leave their winter hideaways to play in the false light of spring.
Awake from their sleep that seemed so short, by balmy breezes that filter into their nests.
Some come out and play too long and will find themselves trapped far from home when night comes.
The sun's glow will fade and night breezes will waft the taste of frosty death to premature celebrations.
Morning light will sweep over the ground to show the skeleton's of miscalculation.

"I've run with every setting sun and oft exposed my bowels,
and soared with every eagle, that hooted with the owls."

wonderful and thought provoking  Brian!!  Different slant on the imagery too

At last I have heard the song of enlightenment.... In your heart you can hear it now, if you listen....
It is the song your spirit has been singing since the moment of your birth. All lasting victories are won in the heart....

What a great job.
interesting.
Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.
