All these days of struggle will someday end for sure,
All this time I'm spending in a bender will dry pure.
The riverbed inside of me holds fossils of my world
I've flooded it and drained it, now like Noah, I'll go forth.

Promises and loyalties, are sympathy and empathy;
Clinging, social niceities for lonely creatures, losing sleep.
Sitting on a precipice just wafting tastes of everything,
and swaying to the depths of me to find a newer Sense of peace.

Pursuit of peace has been my dream and holds the deepest root in me
and crosses lines of "wants" and "needs" to hold the higher cause of me.
To be that unattained release, that some fight for so urgently
and be that one loud booming voice that reaches out to destiny.

I'm holding on to everything and wish that stars would shoot for me
to seal the deals that wishes bring from hushed, mind-reading entities.

This is an excellent poem my friend.
and yes it is a richly dark one, that I love.

"Pursuit of peace has been my dream and holds the deepest root in me
and crosses lines of "wants" and "needs" to hold the higher cause of me"

This has been my pursuit also, to rest in peace, not death but a peaceful life.
I love your work kid. haha
Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

Thank you.  I'm finding that the more i gloss over the older notions of my life the more I can put them in place with what's now occuring.
