Standing against the Wind
Hearing the it’s echo
Feeling The cool chill glide over my face
Looking back on the past events, questioning the road I took

Questioning my thoughts and reactions
Wondering if I was wrong
Wishing to solve the eluding puzzle
Demanding answers

The winds rising with my seething anger
Matching my emotions...clouds rolling in
Thunder crashing, Lighting striking the ground
Rain pouring as the tear runs down my Cheek

Looking back, Seeing the pain and hurt
Thinking of other ways to deal
Asking myself why
Hoping to know one day

Standing in the Wind
No longer angry, but worried
Seeing the consequences of those events
Watching the maelstrom unleashed by my actions
Unable to do anything but hope

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship."

You express your emotions very deeply in this piece, and I must say I really liked it. Especially that stanza. Simply great. Take care.

"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token"

Powerful stuff Daniel, all we can do is hope/
Great visuals I saw you there standing, fearing, confused and finally hopeful.  Great work!!

A heart and soul are not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others...

I had a favorite cliff as a kid, and each time I had a problem in life I'd sit there, with the wind and chill and the salt of the cold ocean blowing down on me.
Your poem is all to real to me my friend, a great way of expressing yourself.
Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.
