Crystal Tears

You flew out to meet me
and forgot your fears,
finding a love within my heart
depth you found frightening
in your haste in your fears.
And in your flying away
you dropped a feather of crystal tears.

I picked up this feather that brushed my heart
stroked my soul, and brightened my day
strengthened my love, of a white dove.
With a strength of an old oak
I’ll wait for the start.

I sat upon the ground
beside the fortress you had made
you closed your gates and said go away.
But knowing you are inside peeking out
every now and then, whispering
I love you to the wind,
In hopes it will carry your dreams to me.
without a doubt.

I will wait sitting upon this bum of mine
Yes I’ll show you I do love you
with “patience” and still waters,
till the end of time

“To My White Dove”
---------------------------------------
I have been searching for a word, yes just one word that would open my White Dove’s heart to me, it seemed the more I fought to hold her to my heart the harder she flew,
I have found the one word,
“PATIENCE” this is the magic word to her heart.
Some of you might say Joel you should move on.  But knowing the love within her for me frightens her, if I did take off that would just confirm all her fears.
I will sit beside still waters,
I will soothe her fears,
I will prove that this man finds her so much worth the wait, for her gates to open to me.

(She is Worth this Wait)
Joel.

Oh, Joel, I can feel this and I know what it is like not to want to let go, to want to hold on. It's agony and yet, you have the glimmer of hope for the joy.
my heart is with you in this one...

Joel, this is beautiful.  I've been the frightend one, so afraid of letting love in.  Afraid of being hurt.  I wish that the man that I loved would have had your PATIENCE.
If you know that the only reason that she runs from you is out of fear of loving you, then you are right to wait.  Love is worth it!  I hope she finds her way back to you soon!

Joel~
I'm sure it will be worth the wait and for your sake I hope it's not too much longer as I've felt your agony in every poem you have written about your white dove. You possess a most beautiful soul that deserves the heart of one the same, hope it all comes true for you

Irish Rose, Your heart is a big one, and I'll gladly accept the strength offered. Thank you.

SpitFire,  "Sweetly innocent writing"  God I'm anything from this, I've raised hell Coast to coast, had a hard life and lived it to the max. Anyway no details just to say, haha I've trained hard to tame my beast.
But thank you for the holding on.

kristi, This is exactly what I mean, this guy of your's lost out on a beautiful soul,
I know without a doubt that "patence" is the magic word, and yes she is frighten of her love for me, she has been down a road like this 4 times, and I understand her fears, and like I said, she is so worth the wait
Even if it takes a long time. I will wait.

Tracie, I thank you for your kind words, they do soothe an old heart, I guess with all I've written on, (to) her every one knows that I do love this woman, more than life it's self, the world to me isn’t worth spit without her beside me, I'm not some love struck puppy, not a child without worth, I know what it is to deeply love, And I do with all my heart.
I thank you all for you support and kind words.

Joel

I love these,so beautiful, from reading this poem i'd say you had somethig of a way for words!! I especialy like the lines "I sat upon the ground
beside the fortress you had made
you closed your gates and said go away.
But knowing you are inside peeking out
every now and then, whispering
I love you to the wind,"

i really love that!! this is a great poem =]

Swamp~, thank you for your input,
A way with words? I'm not so sure about that, especially when I see some of the best reading ever here. Some poets here can melt butter with their flow of words, I can only say what's in my heart, with truth and honesty. The beauty of this poem can only
come from my inspiration, my White Dove.
But thank you.
Joel.

Joel

You have such an elegant metaphorical poetry flair.  I've seen it in all your work.  The deep anguish and/or pain that comes up in all your poems is astounding, I'm just glad you're so in touch with your feelings.  You have a fabulous talent, and are sensitive enough to do the right thing.  Patience is the virtue here, my friend, I believe it will pay off.

Thanks for the beautiful poem.  I loved it.

No, "thank you" Syliva,
I know you don't reply that much to my poems I am crude at best, I know this and I misspell words, I'm a kid in the woods, in poetry,
But for you to come out of the woods and reply is something, thank you.
I know some just read and drift on, our poems don't touch a thing, but even if one word has touched a place of tender sort, then it is all worth it.

You sit upon the ground or maybe a park bench, or even as a boy in the woods, but her reflection is fermly planted in your heart and its much worth the wait. You are a very good poet my friend, one that I had to come and see more of your work, I look forword to more.

Thank you so much, Cerenity,
My work is only from my inspiration, (My White Dove.) And if you keep this up I'm going to get embarrassed.
Thank you.

You talk about  one of my  last poetry post hitting home with you...well I could of written this one myself   !  Isn't it funny how complex we are and the emotions that rock our worlds.  I see a man who wants to freely and passionately give his love, as much as he wants to recieve it....I hope the lady accepts!!  Great expression of the heart here!

Illusion, thank you so much, and I hope that this poem that hit home is your other partner waiting with patience, not you, it is difficult at best knowing the one I love is behind this wall.

Dan, Unique expressions? not sure. I've talked like this my whole life. well give or take a few. haha

isiskate81, once again you have touched my heart with your well wishing, thank you, and yes she is so much worth it all.
We had a heart to heart talk yesterday, it all confirmed my ?? one word, "PATIENCE"

Thank you all again,
Joel.

Joel, you are a real gentleman, this poem reminds me of a poem I posted called Gentle Knight, it could almost be a companion to yours. Yes, Patience is the key.

Stepsong, thank you I chased down your Poem
"Gentle Knight" and yes it could be twins. a great poem.

Alle'cram, I believe we all show our hearts here, haha I may just talk more that the others. haha

danny, eloquently written? not sure about all that, it all comes from the heart.
and Thank you anyway.
I know I miss spell words and the friends here have been so understanding, and have not said a word not one.
It just proves what I think about poets they feel the poem, not the words.

I must tell you, just as a funny side note, that in our family we have always called patience the "P" word.  We don't have alot of it, although we strive!

HI Joel!
You're nice man and I'm sure she's definitely worth the wait. Its beautiful to be beside someone knowing their fears and soothing it. Everyone needs a comforting friend and a friend means someone with whom you can share everything . I have such a great friend and I'll always stand beside her showing love and caring her always.

  Hello darkness, my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.

Pat, The "P" word is a great one, and I know it's depth, and it's possible consequences.

Zunera, thank you Yes a crystal tear is in all.

A. L., I don’t pretend to know all her fears, but it’s the flight that counts
Just the trying to know and trying to understand, not giving up in frustration like so many, ready to run on the drop of a hat.

Storsek,   Good luck my friend, with your venture,
and “yes” She is so worth the time and life.
She amazes me with her values and dedication in life, and family.

My friend Poe,  Hold up  not a mirror to our brotherhood,
But look within a river reflection of each other.
A river reflection can’t break & can join at times when the other want’s to go swimming on the other side of the light.
Thank you All again,
Joel.

EagleOne, my heart to you, if you truly know this, it can drive you mad, trying to hold on is really letting go, and the hardest thing in the world is to see this.
It's like taking a rose home and putting it in the fridge, it dies, but if you plant the bush it grows...
