Before man was born, almost before history,
In a world made of magic and mystery,
Gods, Titans, evil and foes,
Wanting to possess but throw no stones.

Zeus with the power of all by his side,
Zeus became the ruler of them all.

Weird creatures never seen before,
The Gorgon and the Mantacor,
The Centar, the cyclops too,
A different world from that of me and you.

They were nature, the rulers of all,
Their will goverened everything,
A better world they wanted to see,
Where Mortals and Gods could sing in harmony.

And Zeus descended from the sky,
With lightning by his side,
A love like thunder in his heart,
To take a mortal bride.

And from that union came a son,
Half human and half God,
With twice the strength of mortal man,
To walk where hero's tried.

With that son among the living,
Zeus hoped he'd be the one,
To unite all mortals with the Gods,
His special, amazing son.

He also taught the gods,
That there is more to being human than acting brave and strong,
That's it's listening to your heart,
And knowing when you're wrong.

He taught both Mortals and God's,
The things they needed to know,
So Men and God's could live together,
They could at last, love, learn and grow.

And that is the song of the God's,
To unite one and all,
To watchover mankind,
And be there when they call.

Excellent tale my friend...

Quite wonderfully woven...and very well told. . .

No I have to disagree, not one of my best works.  Not excellent, but glad you liked it anyways, Sven

Is it too much to find an answer,
Is it too much to hold you close.
Is it too much to find a reason,
Is it too much to free my soul --
From self control ...
And I know you're always waiting for me ...
You take me far away,
And I know you're holding me ...
And it's better now ...
