CIRCLE OF LIFE Here I stand where confusion reigns The ultimate test of my will Do I stand or do I fall Within me the fight rages still Sometimes I wonder if this is my lot Apart from the norms of my kind Trying to conform but still remain me How do I get out of my mind The circle of life is turning And I am stuck on the ride And I cannot see where I'm going Cause repetition has made me blind Am I moving forward or back Up or down or out Getting out of this dizzy turn Is what it's all about I see the circle happen again And again I want to cry How can I be a child As my life passes me by I'm angry at me and the rest of the world But they cannot understand why I love and I cannot control it No matter how hard I try The circle of life is turning And I am stuck on the ride And I cannot see where I'm going Cause repetition has made me blind Am I moving forward or back Up or down or out Getting out of this dizzy turn Is what it's all about The circle is a given Life and love and pain Time after time I have to climb This ladder once again. |

We are creatures of habit, we like the same tree every time even if it is, on a hill. A rut is the hardest thing to climb out of. Very well put my friend. Your second post? Hi I've come to believe life carries with it all emotions like a spectra where you see shades of pink,blue,red etc. It's the thrill of the journey rather than destination which one should look for. Everybody will be taken for a ride sometimes , just believe that you can gain control of your feelings and you'll be fine. Sincerely A_L |

life is truly a circle and we seem to go around and around but we can only hope we don't make the same mistakes on future trips ... live and learn everything serves some purpose no matter how miniscule  Mystical being which makes ink flow Surround me in your incandescent glow Fill my brain with thoughts and rhyme As I try to capture but a moment in time ~Shan~ |

sgreybe, excellent poem - you have a real talent! I have found that sometimes when life's carousel makes me dizzy, it helps to focus on the ride itself, rather than my surroundings. Watching everything and everyone else flash by can be overwhelming, and can make me sick to my stomach. Life is one big circle and we keep turning the corner, but we sometimes do make the same mistake twice but hopefully learn by the third As long as you keep turning the corner is the main thing Tracie~ Love is the life of the soul... It is the harmony of the universe |
