The rain continues to fall
There are footsteps in the hall
Outside my door
A shadow cast on the floor

I thought I heard your voice
Giving me a choice
On what happens next
Rewrite the text

Don't have to be sad
Feel so very bad
About things we've said
The love that is dead

Nothing as it seems
Noises just a dream
I am here alone
Heart heavy as stone

The truth will come out
I have no doubt
Everyone will see
It wasn't me

You wanted this
Things were amiss
A long time ago
This I do know

My furry friend, and creature of the night.
You have said all this with your heart,
I hope it is the stepping stone to a new start.
Finding your way around the chambers of your heart, can be painful. But know you have friends here, and a friend in me.
This will be felt on the echoes of a long howl.
Joel.

I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

I am listening my furry friend.  Yes, my heart went into this...all of it.  I do believe it is the stepping stone to a new start in my life.  The time is here to move forward and not look back.  It is painful, but I know I have many friends to help me through.  Thank you for offering your friendship....I accept.  I think I could learn a lot from you.  We must talk sometime.  I hear that howl long and clear, my wolf brother.
Thank You,
Lone Wolf

~Hey there,...great post.  I felt my heart being tugged at and ripped while reading.  Really,...this poem touched home.

SpitFire....hey back!!  Thank you for the kind words.  Sorry you can relate so well to it.  My heart has already been ripped too.

You have given us a very good look into the heart of one who has done all they know to do, but things are out of their control??  Thank you for the read......once again this place amazes me, with the people whom I see having the same feelings.  I apprieciate the gifts I see in my fellow poets, more and more all the time.
