Dreaming On The Edge Submerging yourself in the ghastly thrill of recurring nightmares Nocturnal visitations to a hazy world where the fantastic becomes reality Here sanity is banished left behind in the daylight and subconscious is given free reign Anything is possible within the dark corridors that twist and turn inside the unconscious mind Dragons become real while familiar faces seem like painted masks unrecognizable Follow the shadows that beckon and call until you find yourself standing on the edge Balanced on a precipice above the abyss knowing one more step will take you beyond © 4/23/00 Gary Pence "A poet is someone who is astonished by everything." - anonymous |

I have shadow danced that edge many times, It is no fun, But this is a great way of expressing this dance. Joel. I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
