Waking each morning
Is becoming harder to bare
Opening my eyes
Knowing no one really cares

Going through the day
Trying to forget all the pain
Keeping my mind busy
Yet peace is never to gain

As the sky becomes dark
And the clouds float away
Longing for a simple hug
For my heart feels the betray

Closing my eyes
Every night of the week
Crying in my pillow
For the loved one I so seek

Wanting someone to hold me
And tell me how they love me so
Listening to what I say
As my face becomes a glow

Dreaming is all I have
To keep my mind in its place
Yet each morning I awake
With such sorrow on my face

I do not love you for being perfect.....
I love you for being perfect for me!!

~Hey there....great post.  Try this for me.....Sit yourself in front of a mirror, wrap your arms around yourself, smile huge, and know that you have you..and that that's a wonderful thing,...anything else that works for you is icing.  Please smile

As my friend Edgar used to say;

"An idle longing night and day
to dream my very life away."

Can relate well to this one.

Thanx spitfire for the suggestion.  I guess we all have different ways to bring us out of this darkness.  I am sure it will help.
And thank you also Michael. Relating to this is something not so joyable, I know.

Peace

I enjoyed reading this.....I can remember similar sorrowful times many years ago and I would pray to God and ask him please not to let me wake up in the morning because I didn't want to face another day of the hurt and pain and sorrow and loneliness.   As time goes by we realize that we must find strength within and from family and friends and pull ourselves from this dark place because it hurts too much to dwell there.  I have been broken hearted many times when a loved one left me but new doors of opportunity were always opened to me.  God lets us step thru at our own pace.  James

You and I have the same pillow kid.
And with James praying for no mornings
I prayed for the night to end, I'd stay awake and shadow dance till the dawn and look like crap. the next morn.
Joel.

I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.
