~A Bus Ride~

A bus ride for the groceries
in the heat of the summer sun
counting change
counting tears
evil stares
a bus ride for your temporaries
those thoughts that linger
windows fogged
blurry streets
steaming bodies in plastic seats
a weeks worth of food
of life
paper or plastic?
two blocks from safety
from society's hatred...
a bus ride for the groceries.

Sounds bleek, I've been to this place.
not wanting to be around people.
Joel. an interesting way of putting it.

I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

It made me feel the normalness of life.
When things are just too much of the same thing. A weeks worth of groceries until you have to go again. You captured the repetitiveness life sometimes has to offer. I enjoyed it. It was awkwardly rewarding to know someone else feels how I do sometimes.
