Stumbling through a sunny day
Waiting to relax the fake expressions on my face
These are the prices i pay
Heaven sent penalties thoughtfully given for having faith

If a best friend is always there
Then I just reunited with depression
As well as Dispair
Fully rested from a peaceful remission

Give me solace its the ultimate fix
Put my mind at rest
I will dig out of my pit
Or maybe this is all for the best

I am locked in myself
And i should have swallowed the key
I am trapped with no help
Lost completely in me

No hope, no light, everything just swell
nothing to contrast with my dim soul
other than the light of hell
The one thing that keeps me from being cold

xEmperor,

This is painfully wonderful work.  Feelings and pain pouring from this as a waterfall to a lake.  "The light of hell, The one thing that keeps me from being cold"

that is a very Powerful statement, Hope all this changes in time.

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship."

Hey Ember,
Wonderful poem...
written very well...
I hope you feel better soon...
and remember...
you'll always have me.

I feel this light of hell now and it does keep me warm.
Good works here.
Thanks for the read.
Joel.

The light from 2000.  So I guess you've been posting for quite sometime.  And its very dark indeed.
