Sometimes all I ever do is just stand there,
Blank smile.
Sit there and watch while hearts break,
Tears fall.
Every time I try to help or open up,
Won't work,
I just close up tighter than ever before.
My tears,
They fall too, just not as much,
Hide them,
For fear that others may see through.
Blank smile.
There I go again i fear,
Lost it.
I tried to open up again, tried to help.
To much,
So much to deal with, scares me so.
Hope lives.
Yet I can't find it for too long,
Close eyes.
And fly back to the stars again.
Back soon.
Maybe this time it's for good.
Hope so....
All I can do is hope right now.

Well your chip off my block! This facade gets  to be so exhausting don't it! Somehow I lost that blank smile though there are days it would sure come in handy. It 's a lot harder to hide your heart when it's on your sleeve!

Well I hope your back soon to.
This is wonderful,
A different format.
short words of expressions
To the point.
Great.
Joel.

I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

Blank smiles...I never thought of it that way. So you too have found yourself forcing yourself to laugh...to smile...to do anything besides breath? I have been down that road...it is a long one at that! I hope things get bettter for you...

There is hope on the inside of every tear drop.  Sometimes you need to cry an ocean of tears to find a glimmer, but it is always there.  And it is there for everyone, even you and me.
No blank smiles here.

Hope i feel the same way too hon, you are not alone indeed.  I keep telling others to hope, to try a little more, I am their touchstone as it were, yet I still feel alone, and wonder who would REALLY be there for me???  And the worst of it, it feels selfish and wrong to feel this way??????
Touchy subject really, well written

Great Job!!  I know what this feels like...society would like to have you keep the blank smile but i say to hell with it.  Great poem.

Great Poem, it all has been said.  So true in each of the replies.  We all can relate to an extent.

Daniel

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship."
