You may think of me as silly,
and it’s a little thing to most
I keep the glass you drank from
the last time you were here
the last time we had a toast.
I don’t clean it not in the least
you see it has this lip print on the rim
that does soothe this beast.
I bring it out on special occasions
that’s every night to me,
I gently place ice in the bottom
then pour our favorite wine carefully.
Holding it up to the light to gaze upon
your lip print  so sensuous, and full
my eyes brim then water, becoming a pool.
I place my lips next to where yours had been
inhaling the fragrance of your essence
and sipping the wine, so slowly you’d think it a sin.
Lighting a candle and listing to a favorite song,
I rock my body with an unseen partner,
where my white dove had been, now gone.
carefully placing it far to the back not to be misused
I’ll bring it out again when I feel my heart to be abused.
Thinking of you softly not believing you have flown
still holding my heart in hand for you to come home.

Joel And again for my (White Dove)

I howl a mornful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

I hope your heart does flow well,
I wait for her, and passions will take the longing I have for her. I just can't change the nature of this beast.

You've done it again Joel. I was moved by this one. Power doesn't even begin to describe what this piece has.  Wonderful Wonderful Work, I hope she does return. I am so glad you came to passions.

This piece is so very beautiful, Joel. Very hauntingly beautiful. Tears came to my eyes, because your poem reminded me of my lost love. Very well written, my friend.

This is so romantic and sad at the same time. I hope that she comes back to you but i also hope that you would be able to move on if she doesn't.

take care *HUG*

Am I going to have to call this girl and tell her she's insane not to swoop lightly back to you? The levels of love you convey gives me faith in mens hearts. I don't think I have to tell you what else I thought about it.
Thanks again!

Sometimes when we write here in passions we can get carried away and push the truth, I just wanted you to know that when I talk about this love for my (white Dove ) it is true. To my very being.
and thank you all for the warmth and understanding, we do travel the same paths and intertwine with all our hearts.

a dove always receives and carries a message especially of love. Perhaps that can give you some hope now when you need it...this was beautiful
