Shining Star of Mine.
Pass no clouds upon time

Shadows envelope without care nor remorse,
Like sails fighting a stormy seas set upon a single course.

Fighting truants of  turbulent winds and foes unseen.
A new born fighting for breath unwean.

Oh the newness of eyes searching soul,
reach the end of all sought bold.
Defiant till the end,
True loves heart aches unbend.

Hearts that bind true --- trails unwind,
a searching soul  cries out to unseen,
A lovers heart finds another kind.

Embracing your kiss and warmth within,
my heart  soaring to sights unseen.
Forever love traveling to parts unknown,
without my safety escort and breast plate shown.

Oh Shining Star Sadness crowds my heart as you leave,
it labors within to know why morning dew sends you upon
a wind mills errand it seems peeved.

Given hearts freely, without fear of harm,
not knowing tomorrow’s tapestries darn

My spirit mingles with yours as we play in life,
my sun you sets my spirit take’s wing with strife.
As my essence fallow’s your light to sights unseen
as a moth to a pyre Oh the glory undreamed.

I die until your return walking the shadows within,
holding back forgotten tears of life that come again.

Opening my hand to let my light you fly,
knowing you must go to shine upon others,
I die.

Arghh - I can relate only too well to this one.  Powerful ending, very well done.

"I die"  There is nothing more to say when you have an ending like this.  Final, but not settled at the same time.  In any aspect, what a powerful star you once had in your grasp.

Joel,
I can feel your pain.  Been there before and unfortunately again.  Sometimes letting go is the only way.  Listen closely tonight to the mournful howl coming your way.  Know you are never alone...

Joel my friend, your shining breastplate is still there and still showing.  It may be somewhat worse for battle but it thrives, as you yourself will.   Email me if you want to talk, I mean it!!  Misery loves company
Wonderfully written, if you are listening, you will hear a Goddess sigh...
*hugs*

This poem gives me the courage to do what I know I have to do!!
A clean cut, away from the shadows, and into the light..It's the only way
thank you!
