I was never angry before all of this I spent my time searching for life's bliss But then I met you and all that changed Now all I can do is rant at life and rage This is not me, I'm a man of peace not of war I don't know what made me leave what I was before Did I change because of you or beacuse of me? All I know is when I look in the mirror, I don't like what I see I'll not give in to your anger and pain I will be the man I was once again I'll find the life that I once knew And I'll do it with or without you --------------------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

an unusually dark and sad piece from our Sven...we all know this feeling...when someone hurts us to the point that they make us reflect on the changes their pain brings to our life. you have expressed that very well in this...perfect for here in the dark take care, jm The stars shine so bright, now's the time I close my eyes - soft wind touch my face, Cool sand upon the place where I once kissed you And held you close. Now I will reach for the stars... Because Oh my love, that's where you are... Sven, There comes a time when we must let go of the anger to get to what is beneath it. Perhaps, you will find that life then. maybe it is right before your eyes....only the anger is in the way of your seeing? Excellent poem....Good message. Finding yourself is hard, it is one of the reasons i write. It is alson one of the reasons i believe i looked for a site like this, know that there are others out there dealing with problems like myself does not make it seem as bad. This is well writen, nice.
