Walking along the beach Feeling so lonely and so blue Noticing way ahead A man was walking too My stomach got in knots My hands began to sweat Dreams of this moment Was all that I could get The closer we walked The more excited I became Not seeing his face But I knew he was the same The man from my dreams Sweeping me away Showing me the destiny "True Love" is what I say I closed my eyes As I walked up to him Thinking of the happiness As the moon was very dim I reached out my hand As I could feel him touch me Slowly I opened up my eyes And all that I could see... Was the demon of my heart Standing in front of me Glaring at me with his evil eyes I began to cry, you see... For I knew I was doomed The demon of my heart was about to win I only wanted the love But now I am paying for my sins I walked with my demon Along the moon lit night Shedding a tear here and there With no happiness in sight Holding my hand tight He smiles and says to me.. "The darkness is in your heart, And soon you will surely see." I do not love you for being perfect..... I love you for being perfect for me!! |

Your poem is so true!!! my heart reaches out to you, I can imagine how you feel, I've had many of those sort of dreams as well. The ones where you have everything in front of you, then all of a sudden it is snatched from you!! AS Isis said, don't let the demons win. Don't give in to their evil ways. Reach up and fight and then you shall see that all your dreams come true, you just have to fight for them!! |

Sometimes I feel this way..when I am reaching out for love and it is not returned I think that the demons have control in my life...perhaps it is a time to learn and reflect on my life...and perhaps I need to decide exactly what it is I want in my life. James |

I grew up on a beach, and learned to talk to my demons there. Sometimes they won sometimes I did. But I think I have the upper hand now. Loved it, Joel. |
