it falls silently with noone to hear
in the darkness refraction dies
a myriad of darkness alone silent
The spirit travels silently
Through the rain and dark
It does not see or realise
Or appreciate that which it does not understand
The beauty of the night passes
The space in the night widens
Day approachs as the silent rain dissapates

early morning dew lies silenced
By the nights great revelries
a myriad colours spread from its brothers
all together in a lake of truth
see the lonely rain bitter sweet
Nights go on and reality spaces
No spirits travel in days light
As they have long faded
Against the bright background
In the life of the daybreak

Deep outside in the void
Where spirits travel and toil
In endless darkness pronounced
see by the pinprick holes in the sky
Looking down for their lost brother
searching nights long and endless
For the comrade gone remembered
They flicker in night skies
eternal vigilance they travel on
Round and round eternal circle

  Hello darkness, my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.

We;ve all heard of the circle of life, Walter has now introduced us to the circle of darkness, same thing really!!
Wonderful work Walter, can you even write a bad poem?

walter this is amazing, truly.
the imagery is brilliant as always, but the words you have chosen are so vivid and sharp and the depth of the poem reaches so far into the dark... this is one of my favorite of yours (the last one goes unsaid as my most fav)(smile)
very well written...and NO ISIS, I dont believe he can pen a bad one
take care, jm

PS your signature verse is PERFECT for you.
I love that beautiful old song.

Do you live by the book, do you play by the rules
Do you care what is thought by others about you
If this day is all that is promised to you
Do you live for the present, the future the past...
