Having feelings for a good friend can be great until they find out how you feel about them. "I Love You" can make relationships grow or die. =/ Now You Know Before you knew, the world was different Rivers rushed through valleys Gardens bloomed all around The birds sang their lovebird tunes Silence never had a sound Your mind was always contemplating I always found that so cute =) Your smile was always true Your eyes were always honest Your actions never showed regret You were perfection since we met I would close my eyes and see beauty All around the world The sun was always shining The sky was always blue The stormy days were interesting I smiled with myself When no one was around I guess you can say I was happy With the treasure I had found Things have changed since then One day, The gardens started dying My life became a dreaful place to be The birds flew south without a single chirp And the sun stopped shining at me The sky turned a sad sad gray Silence is no longer silent Now polluted with tears Your mind is now contemplating What to do with me Your eyes are filled with uncertainty Clearly you are confused why I had chosen thee "Hello" can no longer mean "I love you" "How are you" can no longer mean "I care" "Goodbye" can no longer mean "I'll miss you" My heart no longer tells you "I will always be there" Life is no longer happy Just filled with sorrow and regret Who knew caring could hurt so much If I knew I would never have dared Life is different now Because you know. r.s.99 |

How very sad! You're right that sometimes we take a chance when we tell people things but I think they have to be said, I suppose all of life is about taking chances! Best Wishes Sandra |

Excellent writing..and so true..both have to make that leap into love together. I was thinking about one of my past relationships and in retrospect it was always me saying I loved her and not her saying she loved me..but somehow I thought that with enough time and energy and devotion I could win her love...it didn't work like that. My new policy is...if love isn't there now don't think it will ever be there...you will end up always doing all the work..and if you do end up with them you will always be kissing their a__. trying to win their love and they will always be thinking why am I stuck with this person..they are not my ideal..they are at least my second or third choice...this is just my opinion...don't take it personally..it is only my life experience. Having said all that I believe love is always worth a try..we just need to stop trying so hard and let it happen..and if it doesn't we should move on without regrets. James |

this really spoke to me. i feel like i'm dealing with this now. i want to let everything grow, but so many times i've let myself get emotionally involved and then , *boom* the guy freaks out because i tell him that i care. but it's a chance we have to take, i guess. this was very beautiful. thank you. jann elizabeth Love is so short, and forgetting so long. -Pablo Neruda |
