Unheard Whispers

I smile to the world.
But my heart silently cries to you
"I want to be with you"
"I want to take care of you"
My heart's cries go unnoticed.

The fire in my heart burns for you.
But when I get close,
The ice-walls of your fortress exstinguish the flame.
Pain, disappointment and sadness set in.
But soon the flame returns
Only to be extinguished again by your ice.

Is it warm inside your icy walls?
I hope it's warm inside your icy walls.
I wish I was inside your icy walls.

My heart whispers to you silently.
"Do you love me?"
"Do you care?"
"Why do you put up walls?"
"Is it to keep me away?"
Your sleeping heart does not answer my heart's questions.
Pain, disappointment and sadness sets in.

My silent fiery heart is dying now.
Not because its want for you is fading.
But because it sits next to your icy walls waiting.

Welcome to Dark Passions ZuMBLe,

a great poem to start off with, unrequited love..such a painful, the most! painful, feeling in the world...I truly hope that icy wall comes down....

Welcome to Dark Passions Zumble...very good poem...so many questions and yet sometimes the answers don't bring your heart peace. I recommend trying to talk about it...and if not then try and get on with your life. I know it's hard....but it can be done as long as you try. And maybe your heart was meant for someone else...someone that will appreciate it.

I've had those icy walls put up before and I can honestly say that it can be difficult to break them down...just be patient...that person will eventually get the picture.
