FOREVER LOST Stale and still I stand below Depressed by words Disgraced by thoughts I want to escape and fly away To somewhere else, anywhere But chained to misery I am Please help me resist The temptations of death I`m about to succumb Give me strength To stand upright Cause every day and every night I fall asleep with fright For the demons inside my head And the way they cheer my bloodshed Save me from torturing myself Even within my dreams And in agony I pine for you To take my hand and pull me back Back to life and into your heart But if you don`t care Then watch me fall Take a picture Show your friends For I doubt you`ll cry The day I die Until then I`ll be downunder With spiders and bugs Creeping in my mind And while you dance and sing I`ll bow my head in pain And push my face again Into the dark susceptible hands of depression Forever doomed I stand forever Lost forever alone forever I`m running out of time, I`m out of step and closing down, I never sleep for wanting hours the empty hours of greed. And uselessly always the need to feel again the real belief, of something more than mockery. If only I could fill my heart with love. -Robert Smith |

WOW! WOW! WOW! this is awesome! haunting, full of sorrow and pain, straight from the heart! especially struck by the lines... ******** And in agony I pine for you To take my hand and pull me back Back to life and into your heart But if you don`t care Then watch me fall Take a picture Show your friends For I doubt you`ll cry The day I die ******** i've felt like this too! you just seem to have such a gift with words! the last four lines of that verse...WOW!...i can just see your face as you say that! WOW! WOW! WOW! i really like this! (if you haven't figured that out yet considering i'm rambling and raving all over the place!  ) great job! |

I too have been here, and know those feelings. I hope they are in the past for you now. the lines that struck me most were chained to misery ..oh how true that can be!! and doubt if yo'd care enough to cry....(or something like that ..l forgot to write it down)..anyway it is painful when the ones we love and want to care about us...are the ones who dont seem to feel anything..or give that impression Take care "What is a friend?
