Hero

Some call me a Rebel.
I fight for what I consider right.
Some call me a Champion.
I help the oppressed against the terrors of night.

Some call me a Vigilantie.
My only companion of cold steel under my arm.
Some call me a Hero.
I do my part to keep the innocent from harm.

I am none of these.

I once struck a bargain with a devil.
I needed his help to complete a task.
His payment for his service was simple.
just an unnamed favor he could later ask.

I'd almost forgotten my debt.
Then I came across him later that year.
He called my favor for his payment due.
In his plan of ruination I could not interfere.

But I cannot stand idle by.
While others suffer from his crusade.
A Hero's word is his bond.
A contract is his promise made.

Who ever said I was a Hero?

 Dont wake the dead,
Wake the dying,
Don't change what you've said,
Change what you're saying.
