The Leader of the Pack

I see you,
Your standing there,
Without feeling,
Without a care,

You see me,
I'm huddled on the ground,
With too many emotions,
Too many things all around,

I see you,
Moving toward me,
Moving with confidence,
Moving in a way that says your free,

But I'm not free,
I'm stuck in my own cage,
A cage made of uncertanties
I cage made of rage,

Your almost here now,
You offer up your hand,
I take it
And you lift me off the cold hard land,

I brush myself off,
And we continue to walk,
You lead me to safety,
And then we talk,

You tell me lots of things,
About what's up ahead,
All I want to do
Is get up and go to bed,

I look into yours eyes,
Eyes of strength but also of great fear,
Then I see something strange...
Could it be...A tear,

I ask you whats wrong,
You say nothing more,
You get up, walk out,
And then close the door,

I later wake up,
and find,
You sitting on my bed,
and your beginning to cry,

I ask whats wrong,
You say that it's nothing,
But how could nothing
Be so ruffling,

You begin to talk,
About how you're so confused,
How you feel worn, tattered,
and brutally abused,

I now comfort you,
In your time of great despair,
I say I'll be here,
I'll always be there,

I used to think of you
As a great leader
But now...
I'm sure of it...

Thats sweet and beautiful...everyone has their weaknesses and strengths...somes are just more obvious than others...

I know how the "leader" feels...I've been there...

~goddess of love, passion, and desire~

I'll be here...why? I'll
be waiting...for what?
'll be waiting for you
so...if you come here,
you'll find me...

I promise.

perfect poem...full of wisdom and a lesson of life...great rhyme to it too.
take care, jm

 and you can say baby...
baby can I hold you tonight
maybe if told you the right words...
at the right time,
you'd be mine...
baby can I hold you tonight...

Bronx this was great! It is so easy to see others strength and never imagine them having weakness... but in the end we all have them visible or not

Great poem once again Bronx.  I know how it feels to have to be strong around everyone.  I wish i had someone to cry around.  Right now I just cry alone.  Take care

It takes a minute to give your heart away,
It takes as second for it to break.
It takes a lifetime to forget that special someone,
And the impact that they make.
