k, This is the only poem I've ever written, and it may be the only poem I'll ever write.  I didn't follow any rules or styles, just wrote, and I wrote this because it's exactly what I feel like right now. e-mail me if you think its good

I sleep and ponder: What is the meaning of life?
And I soon come to the conclusion that the
Meaning of Life is the reason you live.
For every person it's different.
Mine is you.

And so I'll lay, and cry for hours,
I think about how I was never able to be with you.

Its funny, when you finally find the person you know
You want to spend the rest of eternity with,
It doesn't work;  Theres always someone thats
better, Richer, and more "acceptable", that just
makes me Another phase of your life.

A stepping stone that's soon forgotten when the
Next best thing comes along.

So I'll sit, for years and think about you,
Knowing that you can't ever feel the same way about
me, Cause I'm just a lower-class "friend".
And God forbid you ever be with me,
As my feelings for you are beyond love.

I don't know why I'm not good enough,
I wish I was, but I don't want to dissapoint anyone,
And the last thing I would want to do is make you unhappy,

So I can't tell you this,
And you just go on not knowing,
Living happily ever after,
In your life that you deserve,
With the love you deserve.

And so a part of me is slowly dying, but it will never die,
But just keep hurting, wanting to die.

But no matter who I'll ever be with,
I'll never be able to feel the same way,
Because from the moment that I found you,
You took my soul, and my every reason for living,
And what do I have to fill the empty space?
And so I hurt for eternity
