This was written in 1999 WOULD YOU CALL ME "DEATH" If I were to sit in disgrace would you wipe the tears from my face? If I were to stand alone would you let me dissipate until gone? If I were to hang my weary head in shame would you continue to play the game? If I were to put forthe my all would you kneel if I were to fall? If I were to tell you my entirerty would you exicute me? If I were to reveal what was truly with in would you fear my sin? If I were to hold out my hand would you venture into my dark land? If I were to spew forthe evils from my forked tongue would you speak praise for the things I have sung? If I were to lay my bleeding heart upon the floor would you say we are even in score? If I were to steal away in the night would you sleep with out fright? If I were to break down and cry would you say that my emotions were a lie? If I were to take you final breath would you call me "DEATH?" There is an alter ego which dwells in every soul... a-alibaster |

This poem is very final it is the end of the one perhaps the all but who am i to say I know the way i see bitterness engulf me Im blindded by the bitter cold In my search for a dream of gold Down the years my ears don't hear As i listened for the cheer crowds That deafen all who hear I cannot feel what i have broken by the years my senses are stolen now all remains is dust and forsaken Did you write the Book of Love And do you have faith in God above If the Bible tells you so Do you believe in rock 'n roll Can music save your mortal soul And can you teach me how to dance real slow |

i will call you a poet..this was perfect... i really got into it... very well expressed. jm Now for me some words come easy But I know that they don't mean that much Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch You never knew what I loved in you I don't know what you loved in me Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be jackson browne |
