How could I not care for you my heart? You have known me, heart and soul, right from the start And though daily to the crowd I might play Your heart is the place that I will always stay You are the one who welcomed me here Gave my voice room to expand and grow As I stayed, I expanded my sphere But you are the one who gave me courage to let my heart show There are days that I don't play to the crowd You're the only one that sees through that shroud You give me comfort, a shoulder to cry on You give me strength to face a new dawn So though there are days where I flit and flutter From one flower to another, like some social butterfly Please know that I could never give my heart to another Because with your heart, mine will always fly. ----------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
