MESSED UP, GONE

If only it could stay
The way it used to be
If only my eyes could catch fire
The way they once did as a child
The way I smiled trustfully
Gazing upon a bright new day
When the summerbreeze gently threw my hair
With friends surrounded
All nice, all good
And happiness broke the mirror sweet
Where now only cruel reflections meet

So hopeful, lively and strong
I made impossible wishes for today
But all those wishes I once made
I`ve broken now and thrown away
And if that young, loving me
Knew how life one day would be
His face would brake and slowly die
His eyes would bleed river-tears
And rainy clouds would fill his bright blue sky
He`d start the need to complete his darkest fears
And pretty soon he`d begin to miss
Life`s final kiss

And the aching dissapointment of what`s to come
Would eat it`s way from the inside out
And it doesn`t matter what I`d say
Cause nothing could ever make him understand
For nothing could ever make me stay

And pulling the trigger, letting it go
Piercing my heart and killing the boy
I collaps down in a blurish haze
And as I fall I feel his hopes
and vivid dreams dissapear
It fills me with an emptiness so cold, so intens
It makes me wish I was never born
But now the once so playful me
lies still upon the waighted ground
I watch my soul fly away
Through the teary eyes of my younger self...

You poetry speaks directly form your soul. But no one should have to feel the way that you are feeling. Life is a tough battle and quitting always seems the easiest. But the pain is even worse when you have to live with the scars that the attempts add on. The past is a nice place to be. But true happiness comes from your heart.

Dear Broken,

I have heard your cry.  I felt so helpless as I read your poem that was clearly from a bleeding heart.  I know where you are at....I too have been at that place and find myself wanting to return there many times.  I do not know you, and felt the beauty in your poem even midst the pain and sorrow.  I was more taken with concern however.  I have felt the desire to "check out" so to speak, and just wanted you to know someone is concerned for your welfare if this indeed was a poem from your own heart and current mode.  If you need to talk....I will open up my email to you.  I hope all is ok, and wanted to let you know people do care as much as they possibly can. Thank you for sharing your heart.

this is such a poweful poem...i am so moved by it...you have a gift for expressing your emotions...I hope you find the healing we all need in your writing...this is truly exceptional work. take care, jm

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch
You never knew what I loved in you
I don't know what you loved in me
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be

It's a beautiful poem...so very strong in it's words. And I relate to it so well...I remember the mentality of my youth....looking back through a mirror...and yet I have no real memory of those days...not of the feelings atleast. And many times I have seen my own death...so very many times. But hang in there...believe me it will get better as long your eyes are willing to open.
Hold onto the memory of your past, don't let the memories hold onto you.

             Yours truly,
