Metaphor

hungry
        and alone
working in mire
existing

fed well
      yet a gnaw
in my stomach

gifted with foresight
of a solitude
I can never leave

I am wolf
  without pack

night-tripping
      through the eyes
of trees
and the benevolence
of a moon
whose light
         will never warm

created
to live the life
of a dark world
        walking wild

an inner reflection
of blood I’ve swallowed
chases my thought

survival

there I pace
unthriving

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch
You never knew what I loved in you
I don't know what you loved in me
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be

Why do I have this sudden urge to wear a crucifix and sharpen a stake?

Goosebumps abound here, Kamla

Severn-

It wouldn't be right of me to ignore one of your works posted in the Dark Forums, since that's something I don't see often. This is not for the lighthearted to read...

created
to live the life
of a dark world
        walking wild

Those words snap together well.

Take care,
Artur Hawkwing

Severn glad you dropped in!!  Loved to see this side of you    Should I call the slayer???

May the world hug you today,
With it's warmth and love.
I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart,
That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world,
Wishing you well and
wishing you love......

Severn--this is stunning--love the gothic feel of this--only a 'loner' could understand this...Thanks for the insight.
