At the edge of the world
Here comes the rain
And maybe I can suppress
This eternal pain
It has returned from dreams
And this time for keeps
I sink down into depths
In which fantasy sleeps
And the wind is so cold
I can barely stand
Upon this barren plain,
I see an outstretched hand
But I push it away
And stand on my own
I shiver every time
I hear myself moan
But, that’s the way it was
And that’s the way it returns
The flames of memories
Sometimes soothes as it burns
Remembering you as you were
Not even knowing myself;
That you were just not her
Stone white, so delicate
Lost to this and everything
If only I could see
Through this golden ring
My heart freezes when I cry
These tears I shed
Though I don’t know why, I am dead
My will is breaking again
Maybe this time forever
Maybe this time I won’t
Have to endure this never
I can’t quite express myself
These feelings all explode
The words become lost
As I bear the heavy load
To feel again that feeling
Of unexplainable numbness
To this nameless possession
Of unavoidable madness
Maybe this is my fate
To drown in this endless stream
Whenever I am alone it comes
Without warning I see
Whatever has transpired magnified
Transforming me, becoming me
And I wonder to myself
Should I hold back or cry?
Am I the only one here,
Born to live, then to die…..?

This was beautiful, think I've spent many nights wondering the same and feeling these same emotions

this is me Jer.  this is sooooo me.  ive always taken so much sh** off of people and my thoery on the pain was that it was my destiny.  i just knew it was what i deserved.  i still cant tell myself that its not what i deserve, but i have a great friend who reminds me that i deserve so much more.  so, NO, i will not drown in that endless stream, but i will float in it for now.  nice piece, great piece, i bow before you!!

aimee
