paintings of you

the easel stands in silence,
pages blank and clear.
the imagery that fills my mind,
brings your presence near.

my mind loses the train of thought,
as i begin to see.
beauty in it's purest form,
looking right at me.

the page begins to take on life,
shadows take up space.
movement flows across with ease,
and shapes your pretty face.

the brush cascades with melody,
as music fills the air.
you come to life, step from the page,
my dream of yesterday.
