This poem is one that came from a painting of Galadriel, the elven queen from Tolkien's works.  I made up the rest as I went along.
----------------------------------------------------

A darkest blue hue lying in the heavens
As Galadriel looked forth with eyes closed
And her long elven hair was streaming
While the trees waved back and forth
Against the swooping wind--
A fountain of purest light
With a pale radiance coming out of it
Now emerged next to her,
It was of stone, white as the moon,
And the leaves now climbed it,
Green like fern in a majestic garden;
You could see the brazen stars booming overhead
They were small but intense shining dots
And there was the Crossbow in the sky,...
The animals in the wood stirred,
Black squirrels were resting in their holes-
You've never smelled such a fine forest before
And the paths were almost perfect,
And the trees were heard whispering nearby...
Want to see the river?
The river lies in the forest and it is deep within,
Follow it north and you run into a waterfall...
It is a beautiful waterfall so serene
The frogs are hopping, and the water-lilies are dancing...
There is a maiden who visits the river often
Her voice is the waterfall of heaven
It falls and the spell overcomes whoever listens,
So they fall asleep and wake in the middle of the night
When the forest is dark and quelled,
The bats screech atop the trees,
The woods look like they are poised to strike at you,
Run to the field, if you can find the way,
The path is perfect but very subtle
It splits at several points...
But it is very, very dark and the spiders live inside the trees,
They weave long webs that catch everything,
So carefully walking through the forest
You see a light in front of you,
It burns red and orange, and smoke rises to the sky,
Bright blue stars shiver uncontrollably
In the sky glittering above,
So taking a step, you sudden halt and listen
To some voice that rises sudden out of the air,
"But twas mice and bats,
What food resides in this forest?
Look, the leaves rustle
Black squirrels... taste like rotten chicken!
What athletic feet you have, Bob
I thought that bat'd get away,
Animals don't like us that much."
A chill takes me by the arm
And I feel a little alert all of a sudden,
To the further comment made,
"First, Fel, we find something else
Not the same yucky food
We must munch upon every night!
Look, there are little elves perchance
Perhaps wandering lost
In this haunted, cursed forest?
I got only four fingers
But I don't mind a fifth finger if it meant
It was all I had for dinner?
Especially from that elf I see now
Peering right at us!"
Fat Fel and thin, agile Bob jump after me
And I run on speedy, light feet
Through branches, around trees...
The thumping of feet can still be heard
I hear a cry in the dark behind
As Bob goes crashing through branches
And accidentally bumps into a tree...
Running and sweating, I pant
But finally outrun the nutcases...
Then I am at the river again,
The lights of the starry expanse above
hits the water and it dashes
like a path of silvery streams,
So I keep listening to the forest
And finally fall asleep.

I will Artur.   I liked this hon, the ending of falling asleep kind of left me hanging.  I love the pictures you paint my friend

May the world hug you today,
With it's warmth and love.
I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart,
That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world,
Wishing you well and
wishing you love......

Mrs. DeVine, for some reason I just am not compelled to post in the open forums so I chose an alternate home forum. Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge my poem and let me know that you enjoyed it!  : )
