The Wishing Well

As I drop my penny,
Into your depths,
I look back at my life,
And then regret,

I think about the past,
How it used to be,
I think about old times,
And how I have come to be me,

I think about old wishes,
Old hopes and Old dreams,
And now realize,
That nothing is as it seams,

And now I reminisce,
About old friendships, And old days,
I remember what they'd said to me,
How they'd be there always,

But now I come here, the wishing well,
To make a wish and find a way,
A way back, A way home,
A way out of this place,

As my penny hits the water,
So does a tear,
Not a tear of sadness,
But a tear of great fear,

I look up and realize
That no wish can fix whats done,
I have no hope, no dreams,
There will be no more fun,

But nevertheless, I make a wish,
A wish oh so true,
One from the hear,
No for me, but for you

I wish you'll have the courage,
The strength to go on,
The hope to succeed,
While I sing my sad song,

bye
Bronx

 Be careful!
It's a jungle out there!

One of the hardest things a person can do is wish happiness for someone who is no longer a part of their lives.  But that is also a sign of truest love.  Bless you, Bronx.

This poem hits home hard...The whole poem perfectly describes how I've felt lately.

I think about the past,                      How it used to be,
            I think about old times,
And how I have come to be me,

I love that line...I've been thinking about my past and how much I miss it, b4 I moved here and how much I've changed....I miss it alot, but I guess, I finally came 2 reality and realized...it's just a memory now.   Well, I'll shut up now b/c no one really cares.   Great poem Bronx!

That was great. Wishing for someone else is always so much braver than wishing for yourself...

Good to see you're back, Bronx. I make a wish on a star every night...too bad they're all broken...

~goddess of love, passion, and desire~

I'll be here...why? I'll
be waiting...for what?
'll be waiting for you
so...if you come here,
you'll find me...

I promise.
