Perhaps tommorow
Will bring light
To this lonely
Death respite

Perhaps the rain
Will take away
The pain i fell
Every long day

Perhaps my heart
Will skip a beat
When next a damsel
I am to meet

Perhaps my love
Will return
All these emotions
I now show

Perhaps an angel
Perhaps heavens door
Pehaps its gone
Perhaps ill stay

Perhaps tommorrow
Is just to far away

Did you write the Book of Love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so
Do you believe in rock 'n roll
Can music save your mortal soul
And can you teach me how to dance real slow

Nice poem. Good use of rhyme, perhaps.

A lovely ode this is, Walter.  "Perhaps" is word that is hard to grasp at times...it's like a longing for hope from the shadows of doubt.  A hope for hope, itself, if you would.  Wonderful poem.

Perhaps the touchstone of hope...  Great job Walter

May the world hug you today,
With it's warmth and love.
I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart,
That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world,
Wishing you well and
wishing you love......

Walter I love this one... always look for the hope in perhaps...its what keeps us all going...jm

When you see through love's illusions, there lies the danger...
And your perfect lover just looks like a perfect fool
So you go running off in search of a perfect stranger
While the loneliness seems to spring from your life
Like a fountain from a pool.

A nice style.  For sure all of those things will happen...perhaps I know not when.  James

Hi... I know you wrote this a long time ago, but in my search for odes in this poetry forum, I came across this beautiful piece of yours. I really love it, and it touches the heart.
