ALTAR OF THE KING
10/10/87

We’re supposed to be so wise
Through ages we are ‘civilized’
Our actions deny our very words
Fight for the voices unheard
Eagles ablaze, and crashing down
Phoenix in flight, he takes his crown
Shapeless hands reach for the sky
Only to wither away and die
To transcend this medium of bondage
It’s for us all, but a minority’s sacrilege
Keeps us hanging from edges of a dream
To where darkness sheds bluish gleam
Before and after, here and now
Forgotten oath, forgotten vow
He who hath the esoteric power
Shall rise up and claim his hour
It is at hand, the hourglass is done
From the East, the Phoenix faces one
The crown, the scepter, the golden ring
All will now bow before the Altar of the King

Thanks Aimee.
Ride the lightning is their best album in my humble opinion.

actually I got a "Rush" reading this...
very deep...and if your gonna talk fav Metallica...the "black album" rules...
still stalking you..jm

When you see through love's illusions, there lies the danger...
And your perfect lover just looks like a perfect fool
So you go running off in search of a perfect stranger
While the loneliness seems to spring from your life
Like a fountain from a pool.

Suits this forum fine!!  Strength, imagination, glittering tales.. perfect

May the world hug you today,
With it's warmth and love.
I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart,
That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world,
Wishing you well and
wishing you love......
