You are my Father.
Why do you do this?
I am your daughter.
Is something amiss?

You touch me
not as a Father should.
I want to tell someone
If only I could.

If I say NO
you will hate me.
If I say YES
you will love me.

These things you do
I do not like.
I cannot get away
I cannot fight.

If I tell
I'll lose my family.
If I do not
It'll stay and haunt me.

You say you love me
yet I know better.
You have now placed on me
a scarlet letter.

great read.  gave me chills.  a sad topic that i hope has nothing to do with you.  the last 4 lines took on a different meaning to me but i still can understand what they meant here as well.  great poem.

these poems always tug at my heart, and there has been many of them lately. I am glad anyone who lives with this pain, has this outlet and can find healing and strength in their writing.
take care, janet marie

When you see through love's illusions, there lies the danger...
And your perfect lover just looks like a perfect fool
So you go running off in search of a perfect stranger
While the loneliness seems to spring from your life
Like a fountain from a pool.

I have been in a lesser similar situation with an uncle, I know the horror you feel, you feel at him, at yourself everything.  He is wrong hon, and love has NOTHING to do with it.  He is sick.  If you need to talk please feel free to email me for I shall understand.....
Heartfelt plea and grievances here well done

May the world hug you today,
With it's warmth and love.
I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart,
That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world,
Wishing you well and
wishing you love......
