Here he lies beneath your feet
Taking his place in his eternal seat
No one really knew him in life
Loneliness took him for wife

All he wanted until the end
Someone to call upon, a friend
Let these words give peace at last
To put all his hurts in the past

Let not anyone grieve, nor cry
Soon like him, they too will die
And death will melt away all the fear
With a sigh, and a parting tear

cool but why should it be banned

Pride of place in the human race goes to one without a trace,
of subtlety style ego or grace for this position, I wish to say, i would be proud as i am greater than any other face in the crowd

Indeed, death comes to us all.
I've always wondered why we fear the inevitable...and why we grieve over the passing we do.  Good poem.

this is a short one for you...

No one really knew him in life
Loneliness took him for wife...

thats the line that defines the poems emotions for me.
sadly excellent...as always...
stalk you later, jm

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch
You never knew what I loved in you
I don't know what you loved in me
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be...
Jackson Browne
*I miss you baby...
I love you...always.
