you strike me with fierce blows to my soul your words pierce me deep into my heart the wish to be free from you takes over and i refuse to see your tears flow as well time may heal all wounds, but i have none ten more seconds of this pain will bring me to hate but i cannot picture my life without you and i cannot hate that which my past loves things change and i know not how to stop them for all i want is the love back in my veins i want to hear someone say "it will be alright" as cleche as it may sound, it will sooth me you dont know how i hurt inside, because i bottle it i do not know how my resent hurts your fragile heart for you speak nothing of pain and hurt you are a strong man, one for confrontation if confrontation is what you wish for, i shall grant here i am confronting you, like it or not why do you seem to wish to bury my love you dig great craters in our union, and hide it you hold me down and do not let me soar voices tell me to break free of you and i hear them but they are not my voice, they are not me they know not what i know of such a great man i do not wish to mold you, or change your ways yet i beg for you to not change your desire for me for it keeps me here, in your wingspan hand me your shovel and dig no more my love let me soar, let our love soar, let us stretch and i promise you we will fly away from this Trust I seek and I find in you. i spent many years in a situation like this. for your sake i hope it changes. no, you can't listen to what other people tell you. when the time comes, your own voice will tell you what to do. you just have to have the courage to listen to it. love should not be such hard work. a great piece devin. |

Devin, Such passion and determination, I am touched by your poem. Such determination and resiliance is hard to find, but know the difference between futility and hope. Thankyou for Sharing. ~Dev wow,this was a powerful piece! I felt the "tug of war" with this person. I hope that you find what you are seeking, and that this person realizes what they have in you. If not, then you need to move on and start again. I know easier said than done. But I just believe if someone isnt willing to be honest with someone and state how they truly feel, then its not meant to be. However, I also believe in the saying "time will tell".
