I saw you and you did me, we smiled and then hugged, I smelled your sweet scent, flashbacks of your letters of love, I couldnt believe you were there, right before my eyes, The man I admired so much, I felt so shy and nervous, but somethin told me not to, You told me "I love you" and my heart loved you back, you said you didn't care, but something told me you did, straight through your eyes, I could see your soul, my friends couldn't understand, but I told them otherwise, did they know something I didn't, how did they know what was coming, you said you loved me for me, I was so blind I could not see, now you say you love to be free, like a bird soaring in the sky, I try to hide my tears, but the eyes cannot hide, exactly what you feel inside, Tell me was it something I did, love is what I gave, that's all I had, you gave me smiles, you gave me tears, you gave me love, now all I have is fear. |
