~Pain Left Behind~

When you talk...you speak in whispers,
When you cry...you share no tears.
When you love...you take no prisoners,
When you confess...you make sure no one hears.

I wanted to believe you'd let me hold you,
I wanted to love you so damn desperately.
I never needed anyone else like this, sadly you never knew.
I understand--its not all your fault...
too much pain and too much damage wouldn't let you give your heart to me.

When you hurt...you invite pain in season,
When you take...its always more than you need.
When you lie...you claim to have reasons,
When you ache...you make others bleed.

I'll take the blame for this pain and sorrow...
although the mistakes have not been all mine.
There's no chance that this love will see tomorrow ...
and it breaks my heart to leave it all behind.

Janet Marie

 I love you
Is all that you can't say-
Years gone by and still...
Words don't come easily
Like I love you, I love you...
But you can say baby...
Baby can I hold you tonight
Maybe if I told you the right words
At the right time you'd be mine...

Sad poem Janet!!  But don't take the blame hon, blame the fates, he wasn't the one for you.  Too many people blame themselves and that leads to more problems.  (HUGS) hon.

May the world hug you today,
With it's warmth and love.
I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart,
That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world,
Wishing you well and
wishing you love......

Another excelent poem

loved your language brilliantly ran continuous brilliance

Pride of place in the human race goes to one without a trace,
of subtlety style ego or grace for this position, I wish to say, i would be proud as i am greater than any other face in the crowd

"When you ache...you make others bleed." I really liked this line, as well as the poem in general.

Janet Marie,
I could feel your pain as I read this and I sure can relate.  Your poetry is wonderful, however I'm sorry for the pain behind this one.

It EXTREMELY hard when you can't get close to someone you love because they have "too much damage".  I find myself, again, relating to every word you've written, and feeling your pain as well.

~Janet Marie

Seems you and I have more in common that I knew. This poem was filled with such sadness. But it also spoke about other things as well. Like what happens when a person has just had to much pain in thier lives..can they open up their hearts and move on and learn to love again? Some of us can but some of us can't...and even though it hurts like hell, we have to let them go.I felt this poem with my heart completely. I will be thinking of you as you go thru this journey of healing.

Love ya,
Amy
