I love you
the words shatter
on the cold night
warmth radiates
cool air rises

her eyes tell no lies
as the words revise
to the ultimate pinnacle
of our human lives
love me too

i stare back cold
unfeeling my heart reels
i cannot speak
i am the fool
i couln't sing

How i long for her now
in the long night
for the moment
to come yet again
but she is gone

My heart is cold
it is emptey
i let it die
i no longer require
she is gone

Pride of place in the human race goes to one without a trace,
of subtlety style ego or grace for this position, I wish to say, i would be proud as i am greater than any other face in the crowd

hmmm....missed moments always hold so much regret. another wonderful work.

Something has to change. An undeniable dilemma. But I am not a burden anyone should bear.

Walter is inspired today(smile)...this is the second great poem I've read here!
very emotion filled...speaking volumes of our longing for lost love.
take care, janet marie

"...she said I dont know if I've ever been good enough...I'm a little bit rusty...and I feel like my head is caving in,
and I dont know if I've ever been really loved- by a hand thats touched me, and I feel like somethings gonna give...and I'm a little bit angry...
Well...this aint over..NO not yet...not while I still need you around"...

Great ending. "I let it die, I no longer require, she is gone." *sigh* Unrequited love. How sad and beautiful.

 "I'm just saying
that we've mistaken one
for thousands of words,
and for that mistake
I've caused you such pain
that I damn that word."
