First, I would like to say that I know this is not dark at all, but this is the only board on witch I post, so I feel more comfortable posting it here.
Second, I don't think this would be inappropriate, but if it is found to be, I will completely understand if it is locked or deleted. It was kind of inspired by a few "passionate" poems that I have read on here as well as some other things.
So with that said, here goes!

You place your hand
gently upon my face
and pull me close
with the other
wrapped around my waist
You stop for a moment
to look at me
the depth of your eyes
consumes me
I feel the warmth
of your breath on my lips
for the first time tasting
sweet Love's kiss
Your tenderness
so powerfull
and overwhelming
Your touch so delicate
not felt on my skin
but reaches more deeply
to the yearning within
Your heart beats
so closely to mine
sharing the rythm
as our bodies combine

I tremble...

I am taken to another place..
a divine plane
with our souls entwined
We are released
and I realize
I have waited my whole life
for this moment
for you
We were meant to be
soulmates....
for all time

Danni, this is SO beautiful and I dont think anyone will think otherwise(my guess)
its romantic and tasteful...and after all...
this is Passions...(smile)
I really was moved by this lovely moment you shared. janet marie

..."when you walked into the room...I saw their faces---
did you know--you made it seem like time was standing still...
and I felt---fascination...though I only knew you then--just casually...
then you slowly turned and smiled in my direction...
and my heart gave me away"....

A beautiful poem Danni! I loved it! It had so much emotion behind, and was very true. I can't wait to read your next poem!

day to love someone- but it takes a lifetime to forget someone."

Danni:

This poem is not inappropriate at all, it is beautiful.  Everyone strives to have this kind of love.  And yes, you are right, love is not only physical but the sharing of two souls too.  Very moving and tastefully written. Just perfect! Applause!

take care,

Well, if anyone dare deems this poem inappropriate, than I am pleased to know that I have had the immense honor of reading this great work of art before they delete it. What can I say, I'm a sappy romantic at heart...I think that sentence pretty much covers my feelings! Keep up the great work!

Great poem, danni.  I got a little kick out of your disclaimer.  This may not be a dark poem but it certainly is one about coming out of the dark.  I know how enlightening it can be to find the one who is your soulmate...you captured this so well in this poem.  Who would possibly lock down the thread on such a wonderful piece.

Avanti-thank you for your comments. i was going for romantic and sensuous.

Jocelyn-Lol at closing your eyes. i guess that means this had the effect i was going for!

Micheal-you are comppletely right about enlightenment. thank you very much. (about locking the thread, i had to edit this a little before i put it up as is, but still wasn't sure)   thanks again
