There are wonderous things I've seen,
In my lifetime alone,
Special moments from history,
Visions that haunt you to the bone.

I saw man walk on the moon,
I was only 3 at the time,
But I remember it well,
That memory alone worth more than a dime.

I've seen war and famine,
People suffering, homeless and sick,
And still more others then helping them,
Earthly angels the Lord had picked.

I've seen computers rise from nothing,
Now in almost every home,
A world of wonder right at your finger tips,
Technically we are now never alone.

I've seen friends and lovers grow,
And reach maturity,
Once children, now adults,
Leaders of the future?  We'll see!!

I witnessed a fairy tale,
That of Charles and Lady Di,
We all watched her blossom and grow,
To become a patriot of help that we all love and know.

I've seen space ships launch into space,
To make new discoveries,
It would be simply amazing,
If they can show proof of other lifeforms to you and me.

I have seen the proof of some stuff supernatural,
And it's led me to believe,
There is much more to life,
Than just what we can see.

I have had my own moments too,
Getting married, and having a child,
Another journey of discovery,
Those feelings never meek or mild.

I have seen animal species become extinct,
Gone from this Earth forever,
And seen man's valiant attempts,
To preserve remaining species for now and ever.

Test tube babies,
Operations to save sight or humanity,
Medical miracles only dreamed about,
Now become saving realities.

And as my life goes on,
I see and realise it's true,
The whole of life is a journey of discovery,
Just waiting for me and for you.

This certainly gives one pause to think of all the things we have experienced just through the span of our own short lifetimes. It's amazing, indeed. Very, very nice, Isis.

Wonderful as always Isis. . .

It does make one wonder at the wonders that have been seen and heard in our short lives. . .

Wow!-
I like it. I like it!  This makes me think of what the future may hold.  And will we want to see what it may hold?

That is knocking it on the head Bronx!!  Will we want the future awaiting us and awaiting this world?  Alas, only time will tell.  Thanks

I've seen many things, been many places... experiences worth the while! May the journeys ahead provide as much as it has and more!
BTW- Reminds me a bit of Billy Joel's song "We Didn't Start The Fire."

There have been many wonderous things that we in this generation have seen and there has also been much tragedy.  You did a great jot in expressing the things you've seen and helping those of use who also saw these things see them again.
Good work!
