My last scream

I heard a scream
that pulled me down further into my dream.
Changing the perfect colors of my heart
and tearing the edges of my soul apart.
Stealing my breath
as I begged the cloaked figures to deliver me gentley to death.
Drowning in the blood
that ran over my levee of flesh in a raging flood.
I heard my last scream
as I was devoured by my dream.

There is an alter ego which
dwells in every soul...

A perfect dark poem, a-alibaster.

 Devotion

The heart can think of no devotion
Greater than being shore to the ocean-
Holding the curve of one position,
Counting an endless repetiton.

-Robert Frost
