I have all these feelings
that I want to show you.
But those feelings are shunned,
not allowed to be shown.
I yearn to show these feelings,
but they say I'm not allowed to feel these feelings,
but I do.

Are you trying to escape?
I am.

Society.
Disturbing, isn't it?

I really like this poem, I have a freind who writes about the pressures of societies judgements that he feels burdened by... he will love this poem. WELCOME to passions. You will love it here...everyone is SO supportive and talented.

It's 3am I must be lonely,
When she says baby,
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes,

VENUS---- I wish I could have been the first to welcome you but I missed it...hahahaha..Anyway welcome...
This piece made me think of people not excepting relationships between races or gender! Am I close?
I hate it when people judge other people with sterotyping or any other way! and you expressed it with such passion.  I hope you enjoy your time here as I know I have!!!

No, Bojopy, not race or gender. Just kind of a Romeo and Juliet, star cross'd lover type thing. But thanks for replying!

I know what it's about Venus.  Don't worry.  Just keep wishing....even if that one star happens to be broken at the time.  : )

Welcome to our family Venus. . . wow, now we have two goddesses. . .Venus and Isis. . . truly we are indeed blessed. . .

Your poem is very good Venus. . . I too know what it's like to have feelings that they say that I can't have. . . but here, you can have them. . . and we will support you. . .

I love how the poem leads you to imagine unrequited love and then *bam* in the last two lines, it's suddenly very deep.

Welcome sister of the Gods!!    I know how you feel to, that is why Passions is such a haven, you develop and have understanding friends/family here.  Who truly care and will listen if and when you need to vent either through poetry or be emailing someone.
You are welcome here and I hope you come to love this place as we all do.  It is our haven

Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely.

venus: i'm thinking this might be something found scrawled in Winston Smith's journal in the novel 1984... i like it a lot... hope to read more of your thought-provoking work in the future...

Oh my goodness, i was just reading through the replies of this poem and noticed an Isis and an Osiris?? Sheez.... We breeding vamps up in this joint? Yeah i know isis... your not that isis... bah!! anywho.... Venus, i really enjoyed this poem. Welcome to the family! Society today is terrible! But i think that what you want to be said, should be said, No matter what anyone tells you what to or not to do. Everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and opinions. What better way to express them then through poetry.
