                   Raised Trails

I've numbered all my veins
And traced them with the spike
My arms look like the designs
That a snail leaves behind in the sand
Raised trails that each
Tell their own story
Of being a prisoner
To the syringe
Bruised skin and
Dried blood
Create a confusing
Colliage
Which resembles
Hell
The infected abcess
In the bend of my arm
Begs for
Heat and attention
But  receives only
Cold neglect
Promises of a new
Tomorrow
Fade faster than
The setting sun
And for another day
I inject myself with
Liquid life
So I may
Continue to breathe
Long enough
To hope that
Tomorrow
Never comes.

wow...what a powerfully sad but realistic portrail.

Well done...
