hi yall,  well since i got a request for this one i will post it.  this is the poem that i wrote about my last girl friend.  i met her in a chat room and we went out for 4 months.  i was suppose to meet her in the chat room on my birthday, but she never showed.  and i havent heard from her since.  i've e-mailed her and wrote her and i have gottenn nothing.  my heart is still broke from that.  well i have talked long enough.  here is the poem.  i hope yall like it.  tell me what ya think.  thanksBottom of a Glass

As I sit alone
Thinking of the past
I try to drown my sorrows
In the bottom of a glass
I think about the way
Things used to be
Hoping that there can be another us
Insted of just you and me
I think of all the love
And happieness that we shared
I think back to the times
When we didn't have a care
But without you in my life
I am just an empty shell
No heart, no soul
Just trapped inside this cell
I wish that I
Could hold you near
And whisper sweet nothings
Into your ear
But alas our love
Has ceased to be
I still love you
But you don't love me
When I first met you
You changed my life
But now tears roll down my face
Cutting my soul like a knife
I hoped and prayed
That I'd never see this day
Why god why
Did it have to end this way
Even though we're no longer together
We'll never be far apart
Because on that day you left me
with you, you took my heart...

Jesse,
this is a very special poem, while its sadness pulls at the heart, it also allows us to heal to be able to put these emtions into verse. Thank you for sharing this, I hope you find healing in this time.
Take care, Janet Marie

Jesse such pain.  It is so hard when they simply refuse to correspond to you at all.  You wonder what you did or didn't do etc.  I know it has happened to me right here in Passions a couple of times.  (HUGS) of understanding.  The hurt lessens I promise
Glad you shared it with us too btw..

Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely.
