The North Wind blows harsh and cold
Over the 'scape of my mind,
Causing ripples, waves, tiny idyosynchricies.
Mistress Winter closes in,
And I gather as much warmth as I can about me.
But, as always, it is not enough,
And I shiver against her actions.
My mind draws its cloak of deception tighter,
Yet the swift breeze always finds an opening.
I feel my extremities go cold
From the digits up,
And my body is numbed.
I feel nothing, the tactile sense is
Stolen from my stiff fingers.
My noses wishes to remove itself from my face,
But can find no acceptable avenue of escape,
So it remains and tortures me
By alternately running and stopping up.
Fond memories of Spring
Linger at the edges of conciousness,
Never quite stepping to the forefront.
Then the early Winter night descends,
Denying me yet another sense.
I can no longer see, smell, or feel anything,
And there is nothing to taste but the wind.
The only sense left to me is hearing,
And it is robbed by the howling shriek
Of the wind.
I stand here, senseless,
Unaware that Mistress Winter
Has claimed another lover in her
Gorgonesque manner.
I am like a statue--unmoving,
Unfeeling, unconscious of the cold world around me.

Wow! This is very descriptive! I've been in snowstorms and you've got it down to the last word! (Loved the nose reference!)
